Austin Fraser is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs Education Teacher to join our team in Sheffield. Our school caters to children with severe and complex learning difficulties and disabilities, providing a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

About the Role:

This part-time and full-time opportunity allows you to work with children aged 3-11, helping them achieve their full potential through tailored educational plans and engaging activities. As a Special Needs Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping our pupils develop essential life skills, build confidence and self-esteem, and reach their academic goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Individualised Learning Plans: Deliver tailored learning plans to meet the specific needs of each child, promoting progress in communication, reading, and personal development.
  • Pupil Engagement: Organise and lead various activities, including forest school sessions, to foster independence, resilience, and creativity in our pupils.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with a supportive team to enhance the educational experience of our pupils, ensuring progress in communication, reading, and personal development.
  • School Events: Contribute to exciting school events, such as performances at the Crucible Theatre, to build confidence and self-esteem in our pupils.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Working with SEN in a similar or transferable role.
  • Confidence and Dedication: Possessing confidence and dedication to go above and beyond for our pupils.
  • DBS: Must possess or be willing to obtain a DBS on the update service.
