About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Education Support Professional to join our team at Teaching Personnel. The successful candidate will work closely with students, teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the holistic development of students within our Integrated Resource Unit in Sheffield.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs.
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Support classroom activities and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the holistic development of students.
  • Encourage and assist students in developing social, academic, and life skills.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential).
  • Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to supporting children with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to various educational settings and student needs.
  • DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
