Financial Operations Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Operations Officer to join our team at Clearwater People Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our finance operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of daily trades and the accurate allocation of incoming monies.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and analytical individual to join our award-winning team and contribute to our success. As a Financial Operations Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Trade Processing: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and provide exceptional customer service through the prompt and accurate processing of all investment transactions, including settlement, for purchases, sales, transfers, dividends, and interest.
- Trade Monitoring: Monitor incoming investment instructions to ensure trades are routed to the correct third-party quickly and efficiently.
- Customer Service: Deal effectively with enquiries and tasks from internal customers, including timely and effective responses and actions in respect of shared team mailboxes and CRM tasks.
- Compliance: Perform first-line checks on all investment instructions to ensure they are compliant with relevant regulations.
- Bank Reconciliation: Allocate all bank receipts accurately and in line with KYC requirements and ensure the prompt resolution of issues that arise.
- Investigation and Resolution: Investigate and resolve differences in settlement amounts and dividend payments through independent problem-solving, escalating to senior officers or team leaders as necessary.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile control and suspense accounts, ensuring the prompt resolution of issues arising and liaising proactively with other departments for speedy resolution of queries.
- Tax and Fees: Prepare tax refund claims to HMRC accurately and ensure correct tracking, as well as calculate and process manual fees accurately.
