Head of Financial Performance

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Financial Performance to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving financial growth and efficiency across our organization.
About the RoleThe Head of Financial Performance will be responsible for leading our financial strategy and planning, working closely with our Director of Financial Strategy, Planning and Investment. You will oversee the development and implementation of financial improvement programs, ensuring that our organization is well-positioned to meet its financial goals.
Main Responsibilities- Financial Governance: Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our organization's financial goals, culture, and constraints, ensuring that our financial strategies are aligned with our overall business objectives.
- Financial Planning: Lead the development and implementation of financial plans, working closely with our senior leadership team to ensure that our financial strategies are integrated with our business objectives.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports, ensuring that our financial information is accurate, timely, and transparent.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to our senior leadership team on financial matters, ensuring that our financial decisions are informed and data-driven.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of financial professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure that our team is equipped to meet the demands of our financial strategy.
- Professional Qualifications: Professional accountancy qualification (CIPFA, ICAEW, CIMA, or Certified) and current registration with a professional body.
- Experience: Extensive post-qualifying experience covering the full range of responsibilities of a senior financial professional, including financial planning, financial analysis, and team leadership.
- Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of financial professionals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders, stakeholders, and external partners.
