About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to join our team at Michael Page International Canada Limited. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Provide strategic leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on project performance, including safety, cost, schedule, quality, and project status.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, and recommend budget changes as necessary.
  • Site Management: Conduct site tours, including safety inspections, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, and supervise direct reports and other team members, and assess their performance.
  • Project Lifecycle: Oversee projects from pre-construction to closeout, ensuring seamless transitions and successful project delivery.
Requirements
  • Experience: 15+ years of construction experience as a Construction Project Manager with general contractors, with experience working on full-cycle institutional projects up to $50M in value.
  • Education: Post-secondary diploma in a construction-related discipline.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of different construction methods, sequencing, potential problems, and timelines, and familiarity with project management and estimating software programs.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant construction law and building code.
