Project Details:
The project encompasses several phases, featuring over 150 traditional residential units, including affordable housing and private sales. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing substantial traditional construction projects and contributing to award-winning developments.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Lead Construction Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Reporting directly to the Contract Manager and Construction Director.
- Supervising an Assistant Site Manager or Trainee.
- Facilitating sub-contractor meetings to ensure alignment and progress.
- Developing and adhering to project schedules and key performance indicators.
- Upholding health and safety standards across the site.
Operational Duties:
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Managing the entire construction process from groundwork to final completion.
- Coordinating labor, materials, and equipment, while monitoring lead times.
- Ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.
- Providing regular updates and reports on project status and timelines.
- Controlling costs associated with non-productive activities and preliminary expenses.
- Conducting NHBC stage inspections to maintain quality standards.
- Driving quality assurance throughout the construction phases.
- Overseeing site progress and ensuring timely completion of all tasks.
- Fostering self-development and mentoring team members.
- Monitoring production quality and approving subcontractor payments.
- Ensuring all remedial work is completed prior to project handover.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess:
- Experience in managing traditional construction projects.
- A background in award-winning developments.
- Strong teamwork capabilities within a full production environment.
- Relevant certifications including CSCS and First Aid.
- Scaffold awareness training.
