Gap Construction is seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Manager/Project Manager to lead their new site in Cambridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.

The company has a strong reputation for building sustainable and high-quality projects in East Anglia. As a Senior Site Manager/Project Manager, you will work closely with the team to achieve project objectives, including ensuring health and safety procedures are maintained, managing subcontractors, and monitoring utility costs.

The ideal candidate will have excellent construction technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and strong leadership skills. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive can-do approach to drive the project to successful completion.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all health, safety, and environmental procedures are maintained.
  • Managing subcontractors and communicating with them daily to ensure work is being undertaken to plan.
  • Monitoring utility costs and ensuring they do not exceed the budget.
  • Regular communication with the MD and other managers to keep them updated on progress, concerns, and actions being taken.
  • Managing, supervising, liaising, and controlling the project team to ensure compliance with the Company's policies and procedures.

Person Specification:

  • Keen eye for detail and ability to anticipate and minimize any disruption to the project.
  • Excellent construction technical skills and current training certification.
  • Highly self-motivated with a positive can-do approach to drive the project to successful completion.
  • Good team management and leadership skills.
  • Maintain ordered and accurate information and records on the project.
