Regional Business Manager Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Regional Business Manager to lead our flagship Northwest Regional Distribution Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, improving operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all commercial sales and operational activities, including sales, sales development, customer retention, customer growth, procurement, operations, logistics, and supply chain.
  • Create and implement a business plan for the centre in conjunction with the Director.
  • Conduct key account management duties, including strategic account reviews where appropriate.
  • Analyse, interpret, and communicate financial and commercial information to monitor your site's P&L performance in line with budgetary and balanced objectives.
  • Identify and explore potential alternative sources of income/revenue generation to help maximise site profitability.
  • Work in a constructive manner and promote co-operation between departments and functions, other sites including national accounts, contributing to best practice synergies.
  • Proactively manage the performance (including talent management and succession planning) of all direct reports through effective implementation of company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the recruitment process for all positions within the business, working closely with HR and hiring managers to ensure the timely and effective sourcing, screening, and selection of qualified candidates.
Requirements:
  • A balanced experience of both general site management and commercial sales leadership.
  • Ideally held a similar senior 'hybrid' role in the past and made it a success.
  • Packaging specific experience is not essential, but experience within a fast-moving distribution business is advantageous.
  • Reside less than an hour from our site in Heywood and hold a valid UK driving licence.
