Senior Investment Manager

Aspire Data Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Investment Manager to join our client's Investment team in Manchester. This is a challenging and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to develop a career in distressed debt investing and work in the front office of a FTSE listed business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end portfolio investment process, including modelling, structuring, and closing of transactions.
  • Take responsibility for the running of portfolio acquisitions, working closely with senior and junior Investment Analysts to review models and prepare investment papers.
  • Report to and work closely with the Head of Investment, liaising with senior external and internal stakeholders to ensure the Group meets its annual investment targets.
  • Develop and present business cases to support debt purchasing decisions through the application of forecasting models.
  • Manage a portfolio transaction process, including liaising with external clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Attend on-site due diligence on potential investment opportunities and review actual performance vs. forecast post-acquisition.
  • Manage ad-hoc projects such as specific transaction structuring and investment strategy papers.
  • Manage senior & junior Investment Analysts and build relationships with multiple credit funds.
  • Travel internationally to core investment geographies as required.
Requirements
  • Experienced financial services professional with excellent Excel skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Ability to oversee a number of transactions simultaneously and prepare investment papers, including writing coherent arguments and explanations of complex financial structures.
  • Confidence and knowledge to handle calls with senior stakeholders and people management skills to enable effective team management, recruitment activity, and coach/mentor skills.
  • High level analytical and numerical skills to handle complex financial information and a developed understanding and knowledge of financial products.
  • Understanding of legal aspects, risk, and governance frameworks for transactions.
