Primary SEN Support Assistant

About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity to work in a warm and welcoming OFSTED rated Outstanding school in Islington. As a Primary SEN Support Assistant, you will provide 1:1 support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in KS1.
Your duties will include:
- Providing individualised support to pupils with complex needs
- Leading intervention sessions to help children develop phonics and speech skills
- Liaising closely with the SENCO and class teacher to monitor pupil progress
- Supporting the class teacher with managing classroom behaviour
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant teaching assistant qualification or degree
- At least one year's experience working with children with SEN
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
