Supporting Pupils with Special Needs in Islington

The role of a Teaching Assistant is to provide one-to-one support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN) in a primary school setting. Long Term Futures Ltd is seeking an experienced candidate to work in their partner school, which has been rated Outstanding by OFSTED.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant TA qualification or degree and at least one year's experience supporting SEN pupils. They will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to quickly build relationships with students and staff.

The specific duties of this role include providing 1:1 support to pupils with SEN, leading individual and small group intervention sessions, and liaising with the SENCO and class teacher about the pupil's progress. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting the class teacher with managing class behaviour and keeping accurate records of pupil progress.
