About the Role

The Chief Administrative Support Officer to the Bishop of London will play a crucial role in supporting the Bishop in her mission and ministry as Diocesan Bishop and Area Bishop to the Two Cities, as well as her national responsibilities.

The Diocese of London is a group of Church of England organisations located in London north of the River Thames, covering eighteen London Boroughs. It comprises parishes, schools, chaplaincies, missional communities, and other organisations united by their common Christian faith.

The Diocese is overseen by the Bishop of London, assisted by Area Bishops, Archdeacons, and senior staff, and administered by the staff of the London Diocesan Fund (LDF).

Key Responsibilities
  • Diary Management: Ensuring the Bishop's diary reflects her strategy, key priorities, and responsibilities.
  • Preparation and Briefing: Preparing and briefing the Bishop for her engagements.
  • Relationship Building: Building and maintaining relationships across the Diocese and beyond.
  • Events and Hospitality Management: Managing events and hospitality for the Bishop.
