Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales and Business Growth Specialist to join our team at Adam Equipment Co Ltd. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and revenue expansion in the UK South region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities in the UK South region, focusing on distribution channels for laboratory, medical, industrial, food and beverage, and education sectors.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market reviews to understand revenue potential and missed opportunities in existing and new markets.
  • Customer Engagement: Provide expertise to distributors in England, Wales, Scotland, and ROI, making recommendations for improvements in sales processes and procedures.
  • Account Management: Analyze customer activity, spend, and margin to identify sales and margin variance, and develop strategies to improve customer portfolio and profit.
  • Network Development: Appoint and develop distributor networks in geographical locations.
  • Product Positioning: Develop and recommend product positioning to achieve the highest possible long-term market share.
  • Market Intelligence: Collect and share market intelligence with the CSO (Global Sales Director) to identify future potential customers and develop new customer acquisition plans.
  • Reporting and Administration: Produce weekly sales activity reports, update the company CRM system, and ensure that customer experience and requirements are managed internally and externally.
  • Trade Shows and Events: Organize, attend, and man trade stands and shows as required.
  • Partnerships: Manage partnerships to maximize revenue potential and identify new possible partnerships to enhance market penetration.
Requirements
  • Experience and Qualifications: Proficient salesperson with a proven track record of account development and new business development of similar products, experience of multiple routes/distribution networks, strong organizational and time management, experience of costing and quote generation, financial acumen, people person, goal-oriented, strong verbal and written communication, and ability to take initiative and confidently direct customers.
  • Performance Standards: Meet and exceed the requirements of the CSO (Global Sales Director), take a key part in continuous customer experience improvements, always look for ways to increase profit and customer portfolio, accuracy in order processing and pricing, efficient and effective service, timely provision of support, and always look for ways to learn and develop knowledge and experience.
