Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Officer to join our Technical Support Team at South Gloucestershire Council.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and dedicated individual to provide administrative support to our team and its customers, ensuring work carried out is efficient and procedures are effectively implemented.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the team and its customers.
  • Answer enquiries and information requests via telephone and online.
  • Raise invoices and purchase orders, chase unpaid invoices, take payments over the telephone, and process requests for licences and services.
  • Collate information, maintain accurate records, prepare documents, and other materials using established formats, software, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Evidence of five GCSE passes at grade C (grade 4) or above, including maths and English, or relevant NVQ3 or equivalent, or experience in a similar administration role.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact effectively and efficiently.
  • Good knowledge of IT with experience of various Office packages, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
