Job Title: NHS Specialist Nurse

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Respiratory Nurse Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and management for patients with community-acquired pneumonia (CAP).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a clinical expert for patients requiring CAP management and provide professional support to the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Work with other specialist teams to ensure the development and delivery of a high-quality service.
  • Directly or indirectly influence all aspects of care and management for patients covered by the Specialist Pneumonia Intervention Nurse (SPIN) team.
  • Deliver high-quality, clinically effective care and patient experience.
  • Act as a role model and clinical resource, demonstrating high standards of care and providing clinical leadership within SPIN.
  • Manage a caseload of patients requiring pneumonia recovery support, delivering individualized and personalized direct patient care through inpatient management and via our virtual ward setup.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse with Band 5 experience of 3+ years.
  • Respiratory Nursing experience.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft/IT literacy.
