NHS Specialist Nurse

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Respiratory Nurse Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) and will work closely with the Specialist Pneumonia Intervention Nurse (SPIN) team.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as a clinical expert for patients requiring CAP management and provide professional support to the multi-disciplinary team.
- Work with other specialist teams to ensure the development and delivery of a high-quality service.
- Directly or indirectly influence all aspects of care and management of patients covered by SPIN.
- Deliver high-quality, clinically effective care and patient experience.
- Act as a role model and clinical resource, demonstrating high standards of care and providing clinical leadership within SPIN.
- Manage a caseload of patients requiring pneumonia recovery support, delivering individualized and personalized direct patient care through inpatient management and via our virtual ward set up.
- Registered Nurse with Band 5 experience of 3+ years.
- Respiratory Nursing experience.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft/IT Literacy.
