About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Community Public Health Nurse to join our Healthy Together School Nursing Team in Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the delivery of high-quality care and services to children and young people aged 5-11, working in partnership with families and communities.
  • Assess the health and social needs of individuals, groups, and communities, and develop and implement plans to address these needs.
  • Recognize and respond to indicators of abuse in children and vulnerable adults, and initiate safeguarding measures in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Identify evolving health needs and situations hazardous to health at both individual and community level, and promote positive health and wellbeing.
  • Work effectively with complex emotional situations, family dynamics, and difficult environments, and demonstrate the ability to transfer previous professional knowledge and skills of Public Health Nursing.
  • Prioritize workload and demonstrate flexibility in response to urgent needs, and organize day-to-day work at an individual and team level.

Requirements
  • NMC registration in any branch of nursing
  • Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) School Nursing registration
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and demonstrate a warm, respectful, caring, and compassionate approach to delivering a flexible and responsive service
