EHS Manager - Upstream Chemicals Runcorn

We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join our team in Runcorn. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the safety, health, environmental, industrial quality, security, and regulatory requirements for our UK operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and professional technical advice to plants, projects, and UK corporate offices
  • Lead and manage the SHE and Industrial Quality system across all company's UK locations
  • Ensure legislative compliance within the business and lead the SHEQ&S teams
  • Identify, define, and implement SHEQ&S policies, standards, processes, and procedures
  • Monitor and assess potential future Safety, Health, Security, Industrial Quality, and Environmental issues
  • Manage all regulatory licenses and permits, including COMAH, EPR, and climate change levy
  • Maintain oversight and provide necessary direction for process safety management and behavioral safety improvement processes
  • Manage the deliverance of a technical training and competence management system

Requirements:

  • Graduate in chemical/scientific discipline
  • Professional safety and health qualification, e.g., NEBOSH diploma
  • 10 years' experience in a production or operations environment and a minimum of 3 years in a regulatory position for an upper tier COMAH site
  • Proven experience with management systems, including design, implementation, and auditing
  • Technical competence in a broad spread of specific topics, e.g., process safety, environmental regulation, occupational safety
