Job Description

Our client, a global leader in the development, manufacture, and supply of specialist chemicals, is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead their UK operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the safety, health, environmental, industrial quality, security, and regulatory requirements for the business. This includes providing leadership, technical advice, and managing the SHE and Industrial Quality system across all company locations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical or scientific disciplines, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a production or operations environment and 3 years in a regulatory position for an upper-tier COMAH site. They will also have proven experience with management systems, including design, implementation, and auditing.

The EHS Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading the SHE and Industrial Quality system across all company locations
  • Providing technical advice and support to plants, projects, and corporate offices
  • Managing regulatory licenses and permits, including COMAH, EPR, and climate change levy
  • Developing and implementing SHEQ&S policies, standards, processes, and procedures
  • Monitoring and assessing potential future safety, health, security, industrial quality, and environmental issues
