About the Role

Kawneer Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team in Runcorn. As an EHS Admin, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective EHS training programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Procure and manage personal protective equipment (PPE) and operational equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and compliance with safety standards.
  • Support the EHS department in the general management of EHS functions, including first aid, fire safety, training, and health hygiene.
  • Investigate and report accidents, injuries, and near misses, ensuring timely and accurate documentation on the company's EHS reporting system.
  • Participate in workplace EHS audits and inspections, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitor and track EHS performance metrics, providing regular reports to management and the EHS committee.
  • Support the EHS committee in maintaining records, including meeting minutes and actions.
  • Collaborate with the EHS advisor and manager to develop and implement effective environmental, health, and safety processes.
  • Provide EHS support to line management, addressing employee concerns, emergency preparedness, and changes affecting EHS.
  • Ensure all significant risks are covered by a suitable and sufficient risk assessment process, including COSHH, manual handling, and ergonomic assessments.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in an EHS advisory role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support colleagues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports and documentation.
