Ophthalmic Theatre Assistant

Optical Express is seeking a skilled and experienced Ophthalmic Theatre Assistant to join our surgical team in Peterborough. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our business.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in theatre practice, with experience working in a fast-paced environment. You will be confident, organised, and able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Laser Vision Correction - Scrub
- Intraocular Lens (Cataract) - Scrub
- Anaesthetic assistant
- Pre-operative assessments
- Undertake pre-screening diagnostic duties
- Discharge patients with after-care advice and medications
- Medicines management
Candidates must be NMC or HCPC registered with previous Theatre or scrub experience.
