Peterborough City Hospital, part of the North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking an experienced Theatre Operations Specialist to join its dynamic team. As a full-time employee, you will have the opportunity to rotate through various theatre specialties, gaining valuable experience and developing your skills.

We operate across 18 theatres, providing a wide range of elective services, including Colorectal, Orthopaedics, ENT, Maxillo Facial, Gynae, Urology, Plastics, Breast, Ophthalmics, Obstetrics and Paediatrics, as well as Emergency surgery and Orthopaedic trauma service.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with patients, relatives, carers, and staff to deliver high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the theatre department, which includes coordinating rotations, supporting junior team members, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

RequirementsKey Qualifications

A relevant Operating Department Practitioner or Registered Nurse qualification with anaesthetic specialisation is essential for this role. You must also demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Rotational experience through various theatre specialties is desirable, as is a mentorship or equivalent qualification. Assessing qualifications for NVQ students D32/33 or A1 Award, or 176/183/N33 or other qualification in Perioperative care, are also desirable.

Estimated salary: £38,000 - £48,000 per annum based on location and experience.
