We are seeking a skilled and experienced surgical assistant to join our team at Optical Express in Peterborough. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in theatre practice, with experience working in a fast-paced environment. You will be confident, organised, and able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Laser Vision Correction - Scrub
  • Intraocular Lens (Cataract) - Scrub
  • Anaesthetic assistant
  • Pre-operative assessments
  • Undertake pre-screening diagnostic duties
  • Discharge patients with after-care advice and medications
  • Medicines management

Candidates must be NMC or HCPC registered with previous Theatre or scrub experience.

Salary and Benefits:
