We are seeking a skilled Theatre Practitioner to join our team at Optical Express, the UK and Ireland's leading provider of laser eye surgery and premium intraocular lens treatments. As a Theatre Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in delivering world-class patient care and contributing to the success of our business.
Job SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Theatre Practitioner to work with our multidisciplinary clinical teams, led by expert Ophthalmologists. You will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients undergoing laser vision correction and cataract surgery procedures.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a theatre or scrub environment and be registered with the NMC or HCPC. We offer a competitive salary and a range of benefits, including paid professional fees, indemnity coverage, and free eye tests.
- Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
- No night shifts and no on-call duties
- State-of-the-art working environment
- 29 days' annual leave per annum
As a Theatre Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
- Laser Vision Correction - Scrub
- Intraocular Lens (Cataract) - Scrub
- Anaesthetic assistant
- Pre-operative assessments
- Undertake pre-screening diagnostic duties
- Discharge patients with after-care advice and medications
- Medicines management
