We are seeking an experienced Perioperative Care Professional to join our team at Peterborough City Hospital. As a full-time employee, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, rotating through various theatre specialties and developing your skills.

Peterborough City Hospital operates across 18 theatres, providing a wide range of elective services, including Colorectal, Orthopaedics, ENT, Maxillo Facial, Gynae, Urology, Plastics, Breast, Ophthalmics, Obstetrics and Paediatrics, as well as Emergency surgery and Orthopaedic trauma service.

Main Responsibilities

You will work closely with patients, relatives, carers, and staff to deliver high-quality patient care. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating rotations and ensuring the smooth running of the theatre department
  • Supporting junior team members and participating in quality improvement initiatives
  • Participating in rotational experience through various theatre specialties

RequirementsKey Qualifications

A relevant Operating Department Practitioner or Registered Nurse qualification with anaesthetic specialisation is essential for this role. You must also demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Rotational experience through various theatre specialties is desirable, as is a mentorship or equivalent qualification. Assessing qualifications for NVQ students D32/33 or A1 Award, or 176/183/N33 or other qualification in Perioperative care, are also desirable.

Estimated salary: £42,000 - £52,000 per annum based on location and experience.
