Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an ASW Assistant Team Manager/Practice Manager. This is a 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension, and requires a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England Registration and continued professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the provision of a comprehensive and effective social work and occupational therapy service, ensuring compliance with current legislation, guidance, and best practice.
- Manage, supervise, and mentor a team of social care practitioners, promoting safe decision-making and good clinical reasoning.
- Coordinate induction programs, monitor performance, and set objectives to ensure the team meets Southwark's statutory responsibilities.
- Support the team manager in managing individual and team performance, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Act as an expert practitioner, representing the profession effectively and providing oversight, guidance, and support to colleagues.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England Registration and evidence of continued professional development.
- Knowledge of current and proposed legislation, policy, and guidance in relation to adults, including safeguarding, mental capacity, and Deprivation of Liberty.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team and with multiple agencies to facilitate holistic assessments and collaborative working.
Important Notes:
- Availability to work immediately or at short notice is essential.
- Right to work in the UK is required.
- An enhanced DBS is required for this role.
