Senior Director of Inclusion and Transformation

As a member of our Programme Advisory team, you'll help orchestrate complex strategy, set-up, and transformations for public and private sector clients, enabling the successful delivery of major programmes both in the UK and internationally.

As a Senior Director, you'll have the opportunity to work across several high-profile infrastructure, real estate, or natural resources projects, managing and driving the team to successfully deliver business transformation and controls & performance advisory services covering strategy, set-up, and optimisation of specific controls & performance functions or project/programme/portfolio management offices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the development, implementation, and optimisation of PMO, integrated controls & performance, functional set-up, and optimisation, and digital transformation related strategies;
  • Developing and managing the design of target operating models and organisational design in the context of capital infrastructure delivery businesses, integrated controls & performance functions, PMO set-ups, or digital transformation;

  • Deploying and tailoring established methodologies, processes, tools, and systems, tailoring these to suit specific circumstances and contributing to their continuous improvement and development;
  • Driving key activities within the Programme Advisory team, including internal development of transformation products and approaches;
  • Contributing to various business generation activities, such as bids, proposals, etc., and working closely alongside Senior Management and the wider Turner & Townsend team;

The ideal candidate will have experience and qualifications in line with the below, but we are open to enthusiastic and ambitious individuals who have high ambitions and a growth mindset keen on building a successful consultancy career within the construction industry, enabling clients to achieve successful outcomes.

  1. Experience of working on major capital projects/programmes in leading positions covering one or more roles within the PMO/controls & performance environment (schedule, cost, risk, change, or performance reporting) in the Infrastructure sector (Defence, Nuclear, Rail, Airport, Highways, Utilities) or similar;
  2. Experience of delivering and managing complex business transformation programmes in the construction industry;
  3. Experience in strategy and set-up of target operating models and organisational design in the context of capital infrastructure delivery businesses, integrated controls & performance functions, or PMO set-ups;
  4. Experience with supporting capability/maturity assessments across the capital delivery businesses, PMO, controls & performance, or a specific function;
  5. Experience with supporting the development of controls & performance integrated processes and digital solutions used to create a 'one version of the truth' and enabling client leadership teams to make informed decision-making based on actionable intelligence;
  6. Experience with writing/presenting reports and ability to navigate through complex stakeholder environments and engage (as required) with C-suite level, executive client teams;
  7. Computer literacy in Office 365 applications, diagramming tools such as Visio, online whiteboarding tools such as Miro, team collaboration tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, or specialist controls & performance software tools such as Oracle Primavera, PRISM, Power BI, or similar;

As a Senior Director, you'll be expected to lead and motivate others to deliver excellent client service, identify and establish new relationships, constructively challenge client views or expectations, and provide meaningful alternatives. You'll also be responsible for recognising changing market forces that may impact upon Turner & Townsend or clients' business and putting measures in place to address.
