Job Overview

The Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Scientist to join our Nuclear Medicine team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance and legislative compliance in our Nuclear Medicine service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a quality assurance program for all equipment in Nuclear Medicine, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Lead the administration of radionuclide therapies, ensuring patient safety and optimal treatment outcomes.
  • Supervise and train junior staff, including clinical scientists, nurses, radiographers, and technicians, in Nuclear Medicine procedures and protocols.
  • Assist in the maintenance and upload of documents within our quality management software, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

Person Specification

  • HCPC State Registered Clinical Scientist.
  • Specialist knowledge of Nuclear Medicine, with a minimum of 2 years post-registration experience.
  • Knowledge of UK legislation relating to the use of sealed and unsealed radioactive materials within a hospital environment.

Applicant Requirements

You must have appropriate UK professional registration and be willing to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
