Job Opportunity

The Nuclear Medicine service at Barking, Havering & Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Scientist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in all aspects of the Nuclear Medicine service, including quality assurance, radiopharmacy, research and development, and external contract work.

Main Responsibilities

  • To develop and implement a quality assurance programme for all equipment in Nuclear Medicine.
  • To ensure the department maintains legislative compliance and adheres to relevant regulations.
  • To supervise and assist with the training of trainee clinical scientists, nurses, radiographers, and technicians.
  • To contribute to the administration of radionuclide therapies and assist in the upload and maintenance of documents within the department's quality management software.
Requirements

Essential
  • HCPC State Registered Clinical Scientist.
Desirable
  • Higher qualification.
  • Experience in carrying out research and development.
Experience

Essential
  • Specialist knowledge of Nuclear Medicine (minimum of 2 years post-registration experience).
  • Knowledge of UK legislation relating to the use of sealed and unsealed radioactive materials within a hospital environment.
