Job Title: Clinical Scientist Nuclear Medicine

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Scientist Nuclear Medicine to join our team at the Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a quality assurance program for all equipment in Nuclear Medicine.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To plan, organize, and implement a quality assurance program for all equipment in Nuclear Medicine.
  • To play a lead role in ensuring the department maintains legislative compliance.
  • To play a lead role in the administration of radionuclide therapies.
  • To supervise and assist with the training of trainee clinical scientists, nurses, radiographers, and technicians.
  • To assist in the upload and maintenance of documents within the department's quality management software.

About Us: We provide care for the residents of three diverse London boroughs. Our services include all the major specialties of large acute hospitals, and we operate from two main sites – King George Hospital in Goodmayes and Queen's Hospital in Romford. We have two of the busiest emergency departments in London.

Requirements:

  • HCPC State Registered Clinical Scientist.
  • Specialist knowledge of Nuclear Medicine (minimum of 2 years post-registration experience).
  • Knowledge of UK legislation relating to the use of sealed and unsealed radioactive materials within a hospital environment.
