Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Scientist to join our Nuclear Medicine team at BHRUT NHS. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in all aspects of the Nuclear Medicine service, including quality assurance, radiopharmacy, research and development, and external contract work.

Main Duties
  • Plan, organize, and implement a quality assurance program for all equipment in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Ensure legislative compliance and play a lead role in the administration of radionuclide therapies.
  • Supervise and assist with the training of trainee clinical scientists, nurses, radiographers, and technicians.
  • Assist in the upload and maintenance of documents within the department's quality management software.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree from an accredited centre, HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist, and experience in Nuclear Medicine Physics. They will also have knowledge of UK legislation relating to the use of sealed and unsealed radioactive materials within a hospital environment.
