Restaurant Director Job Description

The Peninsula London is seeking a seasoned Restaurant Director to oversee the operations of our esteemed Brooklands Restaurant, Brooklands Bar, and the Tasting Room. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service, maximizing revenue, and maintaining the highest possible departmental profit margin.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exceed guest expectations by providing outstanding service, adhering to the Peninsula Service Principles, and anticipating guests' needs.
  • Ensure productivity levels are met in the Restaurant, Bar, and Tasting Room, while prudently managing utility and payroll costs within budgetary requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day operations to achieve the highest levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Lead the outlet to success and profitability.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies, promotions, and activities to support the hotel's annual F&B marketing plan and budget.
  • Recruit, develop, motivate, supervise, and performance manage department colleagues to maintain a culture aligned with the hotel's mission, vision, values, and core principles.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment with similar standards and expectations.
  • Natural organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to engage with guests.
  • Strong people leadership skills, with prior experience managing a team.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills, with a high level of adaptability and a naturally positive attitude.
  • Fluent English communication proficiency, with expertise in a second language desirable.
