Activity Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Extracare Charitable Trust t/a Extracare Ltd is seeking a skilled Activity Coordinator to join our team at the Solihull Retirement Village in Birmingham. As an Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a varied and exciting activity plan for residents, ensuring their physical and mental well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a dynamic activity plan for residents, incorporating their interests and preferences.
- Produce and distribute activity programmes, ensuring residents are aware of upcoming events and activities.
- Encourage residents to take an active role in leading their own interest groups and activity sessions.
- Work closely with the Head of Care to ensure residents receive assistance when needed.
- Assist the Lifestyle Manager with planning, organisation, and preparation of events, ensuring a seamless experience for residents.
- Identify upcoming events, current issues, and news linked to the village, and communicate with the PR Team to ensure timely dissemination of information.
Requirements:
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good understanding of financial awareness, with the ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and external partners.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and tasks.
