Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Coordinator to join our team at STS Aviation Services. As a Material Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and control all stock requests using PROMRO.
  • Take ownership of the shortage sheet and ensure that all requests are actioned within the required time limits.
  • Check stock levels and organize stock transfers between STS locations as needed.
  • Mark items for purchase when required.
  • Liaise with procurement to ensure that all purchase requests are conducted within agreed time frames.
  • Ensure that the shortage sheet always has the most up-to-date information.
  • Provide detailed handover briefs between shifts.
  • Add customer information relating to stock to the shortage sheet in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide Supply Chain reporting as required.
  • Drive stock cost-saving measures at all times.
  • Liaise with other parts of STS regarding stock matters.
  • Stand in for STS Material Coordinators at other sites as needed.
  • Meet with customers on a regular basis as required.
  • Represent STS to the highest standard at all times.
  • Record all customer stock requirements and ensure the shortage sheet is an accurate reflection of these.
  • Liaise with customers outside of meetings to ensure an accurate information flow is maintained.
  • Provide detailed handover briefs on all customer supply chain.
  • Conduct stock picking activities as needed.
  • Conduct return to stock activities as needed.
  • Conduct general logistic duties as needed.
  • Provide logistic support to base and line operations as needed.
Requirements:
  • Significant demonstrable experience of logistic operations.
  • UK Full driving license.
  • A good understanding of process development within the logistic sector.
  • A good understanding of calibration management principles and processes.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a commercial environment.
  • Leadership skills and ability to take the initiative and manage workload.
  • Knowledge of aviation logistics and its key principles.
  • Proven experience of delivering exceptional service to internal and external customers both personally and through a team.
  • Knowledge of key Microsoft business packages including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A very good understanding and experience in using PROMRO.
  • High level of verbal communication skills.
  • High level of written communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Adaptability to deal with unexpected or unique events and incidents.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical thinking to be able to identify problem roots causes.
  • Ability to constructively challenge, collaborate, and think both tactically and strategically.
  • Excellent stakeholder management.
