Waking Night Support Worker

About the Role:
We are seeking a female support worker to join our team at Homersham, a Supported Living service in Canterbury. The successful candidate will work with individuals who have autism, learning disabilities, and related difficulties, providing support and care to ensure their safety and well-being throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities:
- Routine safety checks on individuals and their environment
- Ensuring the service is safe and secure
- Household management tasks, including cooking and cleaning
- Administering medication
- Assisting individuals with personal care and hygiene
- Maintaining accurate written records
- Lone working and supporting individuals with additional needs, such as epilepsy and pica
Requirements:
- Understanding of autism and its complexities
- Ability to work with individuals who display stressed behaviors
- Experience in supporting people with learning disabilities
- Commitment to promoting independence and choice
- Upholding the privacy, confidentiality, and dignity of all individuals
