About the Role

Sanctuary Supported Living is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Project Worker to join our team at our Young People Schemes in Canterbury. As a Night Project Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health needs to maximize their potential and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to encourage customers to manage their mental health and independence
  • Be the first point of contact for customer queries and provide guidance and support
  • Support customers in managing their mental health and well-being
  • Offer one-to-one support as required
  • Promote safety by conducting risk assessments and reviewing customer needs
  • Regularly assess customer needs and update support plans
  • Develop professional relationships with customers using clear and respectful communication
  • Deliver small group activities to promote recovery and well-being
  • Handle emergency situations and work independently

Requirements

  • Experience working with adults with mental health needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and functional literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to react quickly to changing priorities and work to deadlines
  • NVQ3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards
