Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a secondary SEMH provision in Wigan. The successful candidate will work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who requires additional support due to SEMH needs, including challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEMH needs, including challenging behaviour.
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the pupil, promoting a calm and supportive environment.
  • Employ effective behaviour management techniques to ensure the pupil's safety and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with senior leadership and other staff members to achieve the pupil's educational and personal goals.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs and/or challenging behaviour.
  • Strong behavioural management skills and knowledge of safeguarding protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive daily rate of £83.85+ through weekly PAYE.
  • A full-time role Monday-Friday, paid on a timesheet basis.
  • The opportunity to work with a pupil who requires additional support, improving your expertise and making a positive impact.
  • Immediate start following registration with Teaching Personnel.
