We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a SEND school in Wigan. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils aged 11-18 who require support with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with SEMH needs, including Anxiety, Depression, and high-functioning Autism
  • Engage and support pupils' learning, promoting emotional regulation and therapeutic relationships
  • Understand therapy goals and aims, promoting inclusion and maximizing achievement

Benefits:

  • Free online SEND workshop and Team Teach Level 1 Training
  • Excellent rates of pay and opportunity for a permanent contract
  • Full-time position, 5 days a week, with a contract of 12-39 weeks

Requirements:

  • Experience in supporting pupils with SEND needs in a secondary school setting (desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to develop therapeutic relationships and understand therapy goals
