Job Title: Executive Chef

Location: Kettering Science Academy

Salary: BWT Grade 6, point 16, full time equivalent (FTE) salary- £27,200 pro rata-£23,365.85

Hours per week / Weeks per year: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 6.45am - 2.45pm, with a 30 minute unpaid break, 39 weeks per year.

About the Executive Chef Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our Secondary catering team. Our catering team provides fresh hot and cold food to students and staff across four schools within the Brooke Weston Trust across Corby and Kettering. Working closely with the Catering Manager, you will assist with all aspects of food preparation, food service, kitchen and canteen hygiene and teaching opportunities with students in a busy and demanding environment. The ideal candidate may already have experience working in a school catering environment, however it is essential that any candidate will share our vision to provide an enjoyable and safe environment during lunch times and dismiss the age-old notion that school dinners are bad. Travel between sites may also be required.
