Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Scientific Logistics Operations Lead to join our team in Cambridge. As a key member of our Logistics Service Leads Team, you will be responsible for managing a team of seven Sample Dispatch Technicians who provide logistics services across two customer locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations and performance delivery of your team, ensuring adherence to all IATA/IMDG/ADR regulations to maintain a high standard of safety and compliance.
  • Utilize the ServiceNow Workplace Service Delivery application to effectively manage dispatch requests and optimize workflows.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for your team, offering support with complex queries related to technical knowledge, scientific processes, or customs shipping documentation.
  • Manage deviations, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs), and Change Controls to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to quality standards.
  • Participate in the preparation for regulatory inspections by escorting inspectors during audits and providing necessary documents and explanations regarding processes and facilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience in logistics/supply chain.
  • At least 2 years of proven people management of small to medium-sized teams.
  • In-depth shipping knowledge, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Knowledge of IATA/IMDG/ADT regulations (relevant qualifications preferable).
  • Strong knowledge of customs, import and export regulations.
  • Expertise in Health and Safety requirements with an understanding of managerial responsibilities.
  • Experience of working with ServiceNow and SAP.
