HR Advisor Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our team at Hays Human Resources. As an HR Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for employees and managers on all people-related issues, providing guidance and support on HR policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert HR advice and support on employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
  2. Maintain accurate records and systems, including recruitment, employment contracts, leavers, and appraisals.
  3. Arrange and attend meetings and hearings, ensuring accurate paperwork and taking notes as required.
  4. Offer guidance on absence issues and return-to-work cases to managers and collaborate with the finance team.
  5. Support investigations into conduct, capability, and grievance matters, providing HR and administrative assistance.
  6. Act as a liaison with management to provide advice on job design, recruitment, induction, best practices, and company procedures.
  7. Collaborate with the UK and US HR teams on HRIS systems, managing updates and implementing new features.
  8. Serve as a point of contact with benefit providers and administrators.
  9. Participate in recruitment efforts by consulting with recruitment agencies.
  10. Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and payroll matters.
  11. Draft offer letters and employment contracts for prospective employees.
  12. Maintain performance management systems and processes.
  13. Act as a Mental Health First Aider.

Requirements:

  1. Experience as an established HR Advisor in a similar role.
  2. Full or part CIPD qualification.
  3. Strong interpersonal skills.
