Senior Haematology Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Haematology Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our Haematology department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our laboratory services.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in diagnostic Haematology & Blood Transfusion, with a strong background in quality management techniques and UKAS accreditation compliance. You will be responsible for overseeing internal and external quality assurance, developing and implementing the Quality Management System (QMS) across Haematology, and conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee internal and external quality assurance, ensuring UKAS accreditation compliance.

  • Prepare performance and compliance reports for governance boards.
