Role Overview:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Youth Worker to support students' emotional, social, and academic development in an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Wilmslow. This full-time position starts in October and runs until the end of the academic year, with the opportunity for the role to be made permanent based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer one-to-one and small group mentoring to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students to support their personal development and well-being.
  • Assist students in overcoming barriers to learning, improving their confidence and engagement in school activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral staff to develop and implement support strategies for students.
  • Help manage and de-escalate challenging behavior, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Provide support during break and lunch times, engaging students in constructive activities to promote positive social interactions.
  • Encourage students to set personal goals and guide them to make positive life choices both in and outside of school.
  • Contribute to a positive school culture, ensuring students feel supported, valued, and understood.

Requirements:

  • Pay: £419.25 - £500 per week, depending on experience.
  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday.
  • Potential for the role to become permanent, based on performance.
