Birmingham City Women's Football Club is seeking a highly skilled Sports Scientist to lead our Women's Department in capturing and interpreting performance data. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing player development and performance.

About the Job Description

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of sports science and strength and conditioning principles, as well as experience working with elite athletes. They will lead daily data capture, present findings to coaches and players, and collaborate with the medical team to inform return-to-play decisions.

In addition, they will design and implement athlete development programs, deliver training sessions, and educate players on data interpretation. They will also contribute to the development of best practices for women's football.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, IT, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to build relationships and work effectively within a team. They will also demonstrate adaptability, analytical skills, discretion, and flexibility to work varying hours.

Key Requirements
  • BSc in Sports Science or related discipline
  • Postgraduate education and industry-standard qualification
  • Experience working with GPS and heart rate monitoring systems
  • Attendance at UKSCA workshops and accreditation
  • FA Safeguarding Certificate
