About Us:
At Change Grow Live, we are dedicated to empowering individuals to take control of their lives. Our team is passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment where people can grow, change, and live life to its full potential.
We are seeking an experienced Wellbeing Programme Coordinator to join our team in the Psychosocial Substance Misuse Service at HMP/YOI Isis. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering health and wellbeing interventions that make a real difference in people's lives.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on the delivery of a range of health and wellbeing sessions, including life skills, physical activity, nutrition, mindfulness, positive relationships, managing emotions, harm reduction, naloxone, and peer-identified health priorities.
You will research, design, and prepare subject matter and materials for groups tailored to the specific needs of service users. Your primary goal will be to ensure robust health promotion and harm reduction messages are integrated throughout the prison setting.
To achieve this, you will link into national campaigns and develop enhanced links with the prison gym. You will also design and deliver workforce development and training on alcohol and drug awareness for all relevant staff within the establishment.
In addition, you will provide ongoing support and refresher training for those who have received training, targeting audiences such as healthcare partners and prison staff. Your expertise will also be instrumental in developing and producing alcohol and drug-related resources for service users and at-risk groups to reduce harm, raise awareness, and promote services.
About You:
We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of current developments and priorities in the substance misuse field at a national and local level. You should have experience of delivering harm reduction interventions for both alcohol and drugs in one-to-one and group work settings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to build and maintain networks and effective working relationships with a range of health professionals, statutory, and community services.
A proven track record of developing, implementing, maintaining, and evaluating effective Health Promotion and Harm Reduction strategies is also required. If you have a passion for improving the lives of others and making a real difference, we want to hear from you
What We Offer:
We offer a competitive salary of £27,449.53 - £31,529.41 pro rata, depending on experience, plus a generous Outer London Weighting allowance of £2,163.27 per annum. In addition, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, life insurance, and holiday entitlement.
