Job Title: Substance Misuse Recovery Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Substance Misuse Recovery Professional to join our team at Practice Plus Group, working in HMP Winchester.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role within the healthcare team, where you will make a real difference to patients' lives.

About the Role:
  • To deliver outstanding care to patients with psycho-social needs, providing information and advice on substance misuse, alcohol, smoking cessation, blood borne viruses, and safe sex practices.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and treatment plans for patients.

You will work closely with the healthcare team on the wings and in-house blocks, providing personalized care and support to patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver training and education sessions on substance misuse, healthy living, and related topics.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient care and progress.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and treatment plans.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working within the substance misuse multi-disciplinary framework, including housing, social care, health care, and mental health pathways.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
