Business Development Executive

At Major Recruitment Leeds, we are seeking a highly skilled Sales and Account Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual who is not afraid of challenges and can adapt quickly to new situations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, with experience in selling consumer goods to various industries such as schools, hospitals, coffee shops, colleges, universities, and tourist attractions. Familiarity with tenders and filling out government tenders is a significant advantage.
We offer a competitive £30,000 base salary, with a potential commission structure to be discussed during the probationary period. Additionally, you will receive mileage reimbursement at 45p per mile for personal car use or access to a company car, a company phone available for recorded calls, and a company laptop.
About the Role
This is a flexible 40-hour work week with a hybrid model, allowing home-based work with one day in the office for updates. Performance is prioritized over strict hours, provided sales targets are met. As a Sales and Account Manager, you will be responsible for engaging in fast-moving consumer goods sales, conducting cold calling, and bringing in new business to progress in your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in fast-moving consumer goods sales.
- Conduct cold calling and pre-book appointments.
- Bring in new business and build relationships with existing clients.
- Upsell products and services.
- Familiarity with tenders and filling out government tenders is ideal.
- Experience selling to schools, hospitals, coffee shops, colleges, universities, and tourist attractions is a plus.
