Job Title:
Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist

At Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join our team as a Community Practitioner. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients and families.

As a Community Practitioner, you will be responsible for undertaking independent assessments and management of wheelchair service users, making complex clinical decisions when necessary. You will also provide advanced clinical advice, leadership, and support to ensure the needs of the service are met through exercising high levels of clinical judgment, critical analysis, and decision-making skills.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To provide high-quality, person-centered care that prioritizes people's safety, privacy, and dignity using advanced clinical knowledge based on evidence.
  • To undertake independent assessments and management of wheelchair service users, making complex clinical decisions when necessary.
  • To provide advanced clinical advice, leadership, and support to ensure the needs of the service are met through exercising high levels of clinical judgment, critical analysis, and decision-making skills.


Requirements:
  • Evidence of recent professional development in an up-to-date portfolio.
  • Able to actively research and implement improvements in quality and customer care.
  • Recognize and utilize individual skills and knowledge, coaching others in their development and acting as a mentor/preceptor across professional boundaries.


What We Offer:
We offer a competitive salary range of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a generous relocation package of up to £10,000 for those moving to Dorset. Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks are required for employment.
