Safety and Compliance Officer - Department of Engineering Science
About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our team in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety legislation, regulations, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement and maintain a robust health and safety management system across multiple sites.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff and students on health and safety procedures and protocols.
- MIOSH membership or equivalent accreditation.
- NVQ level 4 or higher in a relevant subject (e.g., science, engineering).
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Specific experience in areas such as mechanical systems, PUWER, high-pressure gases, and radiation protection.
- A competitive salary of £45,000-£60,000 per annum.
