At Procurement Heads, we are seeking a skilled Materials Planning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the industrial team, you will be working with a world leader in defence engineering.

The role involves providing strategy and efficiency to materials flow related to high-tech engineering projects. You will report to the Supply Chain Director and play a crucial part in creating comprehensive plans for material programs and subcontract management in collaboration with procurement teams.

In this stable and progressive company, you will have the opportunity to work on ground-breaking projects and enjoy a flexible working pattern. The salary for this role is approximately £75,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement comprehensive plans for material programs and subcontract management in collaboration with procurement teams.
  • Translate strategic concepts into actionable plans to meet program goals.
  • Develop and manage material sourcing strategies.
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality assurance, and operations teams to establish project schedules using Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Lead planning tasks related to proposals, including defining deliverables and creating cost estimates.
